There is two kinds of BankID's, EmployeeBankID and PersonalBankID:

• EmployeeBankID is a BankID  that is used when an employee signs on behalf of his business. The userID for the owner of the EmployeeBankID is linked to the company's organization number.
• PersonalBankID is your personal BankID, which is used to log in to your online bank, and other sites where BankID can be used.

Det finnes to typer BankID-er, AnsattBankID og PersonBankID:

• AnsattBankID er en BankID som kan brukes når en ansatt i kraft av sitt arbeid signerer for bedriften. Her knyttes innehaver av AnsattBankID sitt fødselsnummer opp mot bedriftens organisasjonsnummer.
• PersonBankID er din personlige BankID som du kan benytte blant annet til innlogging i nettbank, og på andre brukersteder hvor BankID kan benyttes.
